Underground utility damage prevention training is the first step to acheiving the "perfect excavation" as outlined in the DigSafe@ Excavator Manual available at  DigSafe@. Before you or your employees enter the field, be sure you understand the "Dig Safe" laws in Vermont; how to use the one call center to request a utility locate; utility marking standards; and best safety practices. All training is provided free of charge and can help you avoid costly damages and undue risk.

Training seminars for underground utility damage prevention are held for entities who are ordered to attend training as a remediation for violation of underground utility damage prevention laws, as well as others seeking training.

 

  • Training Seminars Sponsored by Managing Underground Safety Training (MUST)

Managing Underground Safety Training (MUST) is a stakeholder group dedicated to underground facility safety through training.  Their one-hour sessions include an overview of the Vermont underground utility damage prevention laws, utility marking standards, and best safety practices.
