Million Solar Roofs Initiative

The Million Solar Roofs initiative is a nation-wide initiative to install solar systems on the roofs of one million homes and businesses across the United States by 2010. The Department of Energy is leading this initiative by working with partners in the building industry, local governments, state agencies, the solar industry, electric service providers, and non-governmental organizations to remove barriers and strengthen the demand for solar technologies. Doing its part to support this initiative, the State of Vermont has committed to a goal of 1,000 new solar installations by the year 2010.
