State Plans
The Department of Public Service (DPS) is required by Vermont Statutes to produce three state plans.
- Vermont Telecommunications Plan 2011: Broadband
- The Vermont Telecommunications Alamanc is now available.
- The draft Vermont Telecommunicatons Plan. DPS, in coordination with the Department of Innovation and Information and the Agency of Commerce, produces a seven-year plan that serves as the basis for state telecommunications policy. The plan is updated every three years.
- In December 0f 2009, the Vermont Department of Public Service conducted a survey with 500 Vermont residents and 385 non-residential organizations. All public, private, non-profit, and educational organizations were eligible for the survey. The survey measured Vermonters' telecommunications needs, as well as related behaviors, knowledge, awareness, and perceptions.
- The Vermont Electric Plan. DPS prepares the the Electric Plan to lay out long-range goals, specific objectives and recommended actions to meet Vermont's electricity needs.
- The Comprehensive Energy Plan addresses all energy resources and covers a period of 20 years, with updates at least every five years.
