Information for Consumers about the Emerald Ash Borer

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive insect that is detrimental to the economy, health and environment of Vermonters. To combat the infestation, utilities must remove trees likely to be affected.  The Department of Public Service encourages utilities to remove ash trees within or near poles and wires to ensure that their services can be reliably delivered to customers.

To learn how to identify the EAB, institute preventative measures and find resources, please visit the Vermont Invasives website, which includes a toolkit and additional useful links.
