VT NDCAP Response to DOE Consent-Based Siting RFI

In response to the US Department of Energy’s (DOE's) Request for Information (RFI) on using a Consent-Based Siting Process to identify Federal Interim Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facilities, VT NDCAP's Federal Nuclear Waste Policy Committee drafted several comments. These comments were reviewed, voted upon and approved by the Full Panel at a Special Meeting held on February 28, 2022. The approved comments were issued as the Advisory Opinion included here. This Advisory Opinion was filed as formal comments to the Department of Energy on March 3, 2022.
