Interconnection Rulemaking Technical Services RFP

The Department of Public Service (Department) seeks a technical expert to assist with the revision of Vermont’s interconnection rule (Public Utility Commission Rule 5.500).

The work primarily involves reviewing interconnection best practices in other states, particularly with reference to interconnection issues associated with a high penetration of distributed energy resources, and proposing revisions to the existing interconnection rule. The Public Utility Commission has initiated a rulemaking proceeding as Case No. 19-0856-RULE. The tariff filing and related materials are publicly accessible through the Commission’s ePUC filing system (using the Search by Case Number function).
