PSD Seeks TRS Service Provider and CapTel Service Provider

The Vermont Department of Public Service (PSD) is seeking a firm qualified to provide telecommunications relay service and/or captioned telephone service in the state of Vermont. The Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) provides residents of Vermont who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, deaf-blind, or who have speech disabilities to have full access to telephone services in a manner that is functionally equivalent to that enjoyed by people who can hear and speak. TRS for Vermont must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in English and other languages through a Communications Assistant (CA), who is fluent in that language. The designated call center may be located in, or outside of Vermont. Captioned telephone service provides telephone users with a display of every word spoken by a caller, allowing captioned telephone users to listen to a caller and/or read the caller’s words.

For more information, including the scope of sevices, the schedule, and contract term, please see the TRS and CapTel Services RFP document
