Under Act No. 130 of 2016, An act relating to voter approval of electricity purchases by municipalities and electric cooperatives, Section 5f, the Vermont legislature directed the Commissioner of Public Service to provide a report "summarizing significant cases concluded within the past year and describing positions taken by the Department of Public Service in those cases," including those related to alternative regulation and other significant topics before the Public Service Board or other tribunals. The Department has completed and shared with the Vermont legislature a draft of this report (see below). Pursuant to Act 130, the Department will be accepting comments on the report until January 20, 2017. An updated report that includes comments and responses will be published in February 2017.
