Protected Personally Identifiable Information

The Vermont Department of Public Service works to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the information that is collected in systems and databases belonging to the Department. Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) is collected in a variety of electronic and manual situations and is protected by policy and law.

Department employees only have access to information that is necessary for the performance of their job duties, except as otherwise approved by the Department. It is a Department expectation that employees will take all appropriate measures to safeguard PII.
