The Department of Public Service, through its Division for Telecommunications and Connectivity, offers its fourth round of grant funding under the Connectivity Initiative to deploy broadband to under-served communities throughout Vermont. Applications for funding from the Connectivity Initiative are open to Internet service providers (ISPs). In 2015, $886,000 was awarded from the Connectivity Initiative . In the first round of 2016, $556,000 was awarded and $550,550 was awarded in the second round. In the 2018 round, $220,000 will be available. There are 16,909 conditionally eligible locations.

At the request of bidders the PSD has extended the response due date. The original due date listed in the RFP was Friday January 25, 2019 at 4:30pm.
